Sleep position in late pregnancy could decrease the risk of late stillbirth, new study suggests.

Women who go to sleep on their left side on the last night of their pregnancy have a halved risk of late stillbirth compared with women who do not, according to new findings from New Zealand. Results showed that the absolute risk of late stillbirth for women who went to sleep on their left was 1.96 per 1,000 compared with 3.93 per 1,000 for those who slept in any other position.
