The International Society for the Study and Prevention of Infant Death (ISPID) exists to promote the exchange of information among scientists who have special experience in the field of infant health and death. The Society promotes research and training. ISPID is a registered society and recognised as a non-profit organisation.
Elected members of the ISPID Executive Board are responsible for the society.

The Society maintains close ties with groups and associations of parents and health professionals.
